1 tbsp olive oil
2 slices of uncooked bacon (or use 3 tbsp of Tastefully Simple Bacon Bacon)
1 medium onion chopped
1/2 Italian sausage
2 cans diced tomatoes
3/4 cup chicken broth
1 tsp dried basil leaves
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
2 cups uncooked mostaccioli pasta
Heat the oil in a skillet and add the bacon, onion, and Italian sausage. Cook 4 – 7 minutes or until the sausage is no longer pink.
Stir in tomatoes, broth, basil, salt, pepper, and uncooked pasta. Reduce heat to medium low and cover. Cook 20 – 25 minutes stirring occasionally until pasta is tender.

This is a unique variation. It seems quick and easy. Sounds delicious. I am just not sure about bacon in Italian cooking. Very unique, I might give it a try. Thanks for this post.
