Four Foods On Friday

I am back in the swing of doing these again (well, at least I think I am).  If you’d like to join, go check out Val‘s site.

#1.  Olive oil. What kind do you prefer to use? I use whatever is on sale.
#2.  Meatballs. Do you make them from scratch, buy premade cooked or buy premade frozen? I am premade frozen type of girl.  I wish I had time for homemade.
#3.  Do you use napkins at home? Paper or cloth? We do.  Paper all the way.
#4.  Share a recipe for a white sauce. I don’t have one. I am hoping some of the other participants do!

Preserve Cutting Boards

cutting-boardI recently got a Preserve Cutting Board, and I love it. Anybody who has been to my house can tell you that even though I have a huge kitchen, my counter space sucks. My new cutting board got quite the workout at Madison’s party last weekend. I had two million (ok maybe not quite that many) people in my kitchen, and we were trying to get everything ready. My brother in law was making avocado dip.  He was using the cutting board on the counter, and then with the handy curved handle, he was able to transfer everything to the bowl on the table.  I love that this is made from 100% recycled plastic, and it is recyclable in communities with #5 recycling.  It is also dishwasher safe (which is a must in my house). It is also BPA-free and made in the US.  Best of all, you can find this at Target!

If you need a new cutting board, you definitely need to check out Preserve Cutting Boards.  I have been nothing but happy with mine.

Stretch Island Fruit Co Original Fruit Leathers

stretch-island-fruitWe are going to Disney in a little over a month, and one of the snacks we are definitely bringing with us are the Stretch Island Fruit Co. Original Fruit Leathers.  They contain 99% real fruit, all natural ingredients, and are the nutritional equivalent ot one half serving of whole fruit!  Best of all, they taste great!  Madison loves them, and we will be taking some on the plane for her to be snacking on.  They have several great flavors including autumn apple, bountiful blackberry, mango sunrise, and orchard cherry just to name a few.  They really do have something for everyone.

I love that not only are these healthy, they don’t take up a lot of space.  These will be easy to pack, and I don’t have to worry about them getting squished in our carry on bag.  I even have a few of these in our regular diaper bag.  They just make for an awesome on-the-go snack.  These can be picked up at health food stores and should be at your local grocery stores for around $.49.  Not only are they good, they are quite affordable too!

If you are looking for a great healthy snack for you or your kids, definitely check the Stretch Island Fruit Co Original Fruit Leathers. They are a huge hit in my house and will be in yours also.
