Stouffer’s Farmers’ Harvest Entrees

Farmers’ Harvest Entrees is a new line from Stouffer’s that update your favorite meals with whole grains and added vegetables. This new line features three family size entrees and seven individual meals.  You get the taste you’ve come to expect from Stouffer’s combined with high-quality ingredients like sea salt, olive oil and real cheese. Whole grains are featured in eight recipes while four of the individual meals feature ½ cup of vegetables:

  • Vegetable Lasagna made with Whole Grain Pasta – Freshly made whole grain lasagna layered with a colorful medley of carrots,spinach,broccoli and onions with a Parmesan and Romano cheese sauce
  • Chicken & Parmesan Pasta Bake with a Vegetable Medley – Chicken and Parmesan pasta with a medley of broccoli,carrots and red peppers in a butter sauce.
  • Grilled Chicken Fettuccini Alfredo with a Vegetable Medley – Grilled white meat chicken and fettuccini in a creamy Alfredo sauce with a medley of buttery seasoned broccoli,carrots and grilled red peppers.
  • Meat & Sauce Lasagna made with Whole Grain Pasta – Freshly made whole grain lasagna layered with an herb seasoned tomato and meat sauce with mozzarella, parmesan and cottage cheeses.

If you can believe this, Madison (my seven year old) actually asks for the Chicken Parmesan Pasta Bake.  That’s how good it is!  I like these meals, because not only do they taste good, they are filling.  I’m not hungry after eating this meal.  I love that they are trying to make them healthier too!  Granted, Madison may like them, but I like them too.

Café Quality Stuffed Melts & Soups from Stouffer’s

I recently was able to try out the delicious new line of Stuffed Melts and Soups from Stouffer’s Corner Bistro.  They are among the first frozen brands to launch a premium quality soup and melt combination.  Featuring bakery fresh-tasting bread filled with premium meats and cheeses, melt varieties include three cheese & ham, steak & Swiss and chicken bacon ranch. They are complemented by restaurant-inspired creamy soups made with high quality ingredients like vine-ripened tomatoes and real cream. The Stuffed Melts and Soups varieties include such ingredients as herb-topped focaccia bread, Swiss cheese, white meat chicken, onions, mushrooms, bacon, and steak.

The new Stuffed Melts and Soups come in three delicious varieties:

  • Three Cheese & Ham Stuffed Melt with Creamy Tomato Bisque: Herb-topped focaccia bread filled with ham and three cheeses paired with creamy vine-ripened tomato bisque
  • Steak & Swiss Stuffed Melt with Broccoli Cheddar Soup: Herb-topped focaccia bread filled with steak, onions and mushrooms in a Swiss cheese sauce paired with creamy broccoli and cheddar cheese soup
  • Chicken Bacon Ranch Stuffed Melt with Baked Potato Soup: Herb-topped focaccia bread filled with white meat chicken, bacon, Swiss cheese and a buttermilk Ranch sauce paired with creamy loaded baked potato soup

I know, I know — how do they taste?  Divine!  I was impressed.  Most microwave dinners can be bland.  However, these are full of flavor.  My favorite variety has to be the Chicken Bacon Ranch Stuffed Melt with Bakes Potato Soup.  The other thing I noticed after eating was that I was full.  This is a very filling meal!  I know I’ll be buying more of these, and I recommend you do too!

Cheeseburger Mashed Potato Bake

 

 

Cheeseburger Mashed Potato Bake

Ingredients
  • 2 lbs ground beef
  • 1 medium onion chopped
  • 1 jar (16 oz) Ragu Cheese Creations Double Cheddar Sauce
  • 2 tsp dry mustard
  • 4 cups prepared mashed potatoes
Instructions
  1. Preheat over to 425 degrees. Brown ground beef and drain. Add onion and cook for an additional 2 minutes. Stir in the cheese sauce, mustard, and you can salt and pepper to taste. Simmer uncovered for 3 minutes. Transfer to a 2 qt casserole dish. Top with mashed potatoes and bake for 25 minutes or until lightly golden.
