Ultimate Party Meatballs

Now, when I heard that I could make some awesome party meatballs with little to now work, I was all over that.  This site is all about easy to make recipes and these ultimate party meatballs definitely fit that bill. Now, when I first saw how to make these, I was surprised.  However, these meatballs taste great and would be a hit at any party or get together you plan on having. Here is the awesome recipe:

1 16 oz can Ocean Spray Jellied Cranberry Sauce
1 12 oz bottle Heinz Chili Sauce
1 2lb bag frozen, precooked, cocktail size meatballs

Combine sauces in a large saucepan. Cook over medium-low heat stirring until smooth. Add in meatballs. Cover and cook for 15 minutes or until meatballs are heated through.

Now, how easy is that?  The Ultimate Party Meatballs site also has more easy to make recipes (all using Heinz Chili Sauce and Ocean Spray Jellied Cranberry Sauce) for both appetizers and main dishes, entertaining tips, and even a sweepstakes with a grand prize of $3,000 to throw the ultimate party! Now, I have already entered that one. I think I could definitely spend $3,000!

Make sure you check out the Ultimate Party Meatballs site for all your holiday cooking needs.  You can definitely find some good ideas to put out on your table.

Talking Turkey

It is hard to believe that Thanksgiving is almost here already!  That being said — I am cooking my first Thanksgiving dinner this year, so I am all about finding all the help I can get.  While looking for some ideas and recipes, I can across Better Homes and Gardens and found that they have a lot of helpful information.  They have an excellent tasty recipe section that has cranberry sauces, holiday salads, spice-rubbed turkey, turkey stuffings, and even a wine guide just to name a few.  They also have a lot of crafts and decorating ideas. You can make the Wheat Centerpiece, Thanksgiving Crafts for Kids, Thanksgiving Day Cards, Tic-Tac-Toe, and the Wild Turkey.  We can’t forget the Turkey Roasting Guide which is what I really need.  Best of all, its free!  The roasting guide helps you figure out defrosting and cooking instructions for your turkey, as well as chicken, beef, pork, and other large cuts of meat. You can even select the time you want to serve your meal and get a personalized cooking schedule.

If you are looking for some great ideas for Thanksgiving, make sure you check out Better Homes and Gardens.  I know I am glad I did!

Wolferman’s French Toast Rounds

This easy to make recipe is take off of our well known french toasts. However, if you are looking for something a little different, definitely try out these french toast rounds.

I recommend using Wolferman’s English Muffins for this recipe for several reasons.  First, I love the size of them.  That is literally the first thing you will notice.  If you are like me, you are buying whatever is cheaper at the store.  However, cheap does not equal same quality.  Wolferman’s English Muffins are double the size of what I normally buy.  I also noticed right away that I didn’t have to slice these open.  With little ones, I try to use knives the least amount as possible.  These you just have to gently pull them apart.  These are super yummy too.  I cannot believe the taste difference.  When you open the bag, you immediately can smell the flavor.  The cinnamon and raison english muffins is one of the best scents.  Another favorite flavor for our house was the Apple Orchards (I liked the scent of this one too).  If you need english muffins, I highly recommend Wolferman’s.  Without further ado, here is the recipe:

4 Wolferman’s 1910 Original Signature English Muffins (you could also use the Honey & Oats, Cinnamon & Raisin, and Cranberry English Muffins)
2 eggs
1 1/4 cups milk
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp vanilla
1/2 tsp cinnamon

In a bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, salt, vanilla, and cinnamon until well blended. Heat a lightly oiled griddle to medium/hot. Dip both sides of the muffin halves into the egg mixture. Place slices on heated griddle. Cook until golden brown on both sides.

Both my kids and I liked this (hubby missed it due to being at the Chicago Bears game).  Let me know if you have a great french toast recipe I should try on our next bag of English muffins.
