Pam’s Pantry
Written by Lisa on November 19, 2008 – 4:00 pm -
I have two words for you: Easy. Yummy. Seriously, if want some of the easiest dips, dressings, and spreads to make, head over to Pam’s Pantry. You know your dip is going to be good when it smells yummy before you even open the package. I have been able to try their strawberries ‘n cream, cheesy garlic, spinach surprise, and our favorite sweet ‘n sassy salsa. These dips are super easy to make. You just need a cup of mayo and a cup of sour cream. That is it! Now, the strawberries and cream is slightly more complicated - you have to mike the cream cheese and you need cool whip. Seriously, not to difficult at all. On the back of each packet, it tells you what ingredients you need, how to make, and what would go best with each one. They also have cheesecake Mixes, Bar-B-Q’s and Picklers. What I love best about these is that they taste great and can be made in no time at all! Since these are made from fresh ingredients, you can even claim these awesome dips as your own!

Slow Cooker Pot Roast
Written by Lisa on November 11, 2008 – 10:16 pm -
I always love easy to make slow cooker recipes. I love being able to throw together a few things in the morning, and then have supper ready for that evening. Like tonight, Bill was over an hour late, but the kids and I were able to eat.
1 cup beef broth
1/3 cup Italian dressing
1/4 cup BBQ sauce (I used Country Bob’s All Purpose Sauce)
1 tsp oregano leaves
1 lb beef stew meat
4 potatoes
1 bag baby carrots (16oz)
1 large onion, cut into chunks
3 tbsp tastefully Simple Bacon Bacon Seasoning (A couple pieces of chopped up bacon should work too)
3 tbsp flour
3 tbsp water
Mix broth, dressing, BBQ sauce, and oregano in a bowl. Put all remaining ingredients in the slow cooker except for the flour and water. Pour bowl mixture over the ingredients in the slow cooker. Cover and cook on low for 8 - 9 hours (or 4 - 5 hours on high).
Fifteen minutes before you want to serve, use a slotted spoon and transfer meat and veggies to a serving bowl. Cover with foil.
In a bowl, mix the flour and water until well blended. Stir into slow cooker. Cover and cook on high for 15 minutes. Spoon over meat and vegetables.

In a skillet, cook the ground beef, onion, and garlic until brown. Stir in the the tomato sauce, tomato paste, salt, and oregano. Cook until heated through.
In a bowl, mix together the cottage cheese, grated Parmesan cheese, and shredded mozzarella cheese.
Spoon a layer of the meat mixture onto the bottom of the slow cooker. Add a double of layer of the uncooked lasagna noodles. Break to fit the noodles into the slow cooker if needed.
