Mrs. Smith’s Signature Deep Dish Pies

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Mrs. Smith’s. All opinions are 100% mine.

MrsSmith.jpgAs a busy mom, you all know how important it is for me to find easy ways to make dinner and dessert.  Mrs. Smith's Signature Deep Dish pies is one of the ways you can have a great dessert that doesn't take up a lot of your time!  Amanda Smith started by baking pies for family, friends and charity events, but when her son, Robert Smith, convinced her to sell her pies, a business was born. Today, the makers of MRS. SMITH'S® desserts continue the tradition started by Amanda Smith, delivering pies and cobblers with made-from-scratch goodness you can see and taste.

Two pIes I personally know I would love are:

Apple and pumpkin pie have always been my favorites, so this was a pretty easy choice.  In total, they have  4 different Deep Dish pies you can choose from:

  1. Signature Deep Dish Dutch Apple Pie with Caramel Sauce
  2. Signature Deep Dish Cherry Pie with Butter Fudge Sauce
  3. Signature Deep Dish Peach Pie with Cream Cheese Icing
  4. Signature Deep Dish Pumpkin Pie with Cream Cheese Icing

As you can see, you can easily mix the topping amongst them.  They also have a flavor for pretty much everyone!  All of the pies sound absolutely phenominal to me.  Which of the Mrs. Smith's pies would you like to try?

You can follow Mrs. Smith on both Facebook and Pinterest to find out more about their great products.  You can also check out which retailers carry this great brand!

Vegan Junk Food

Bill’s cousin is vegan, so I knew that there was a vegan substitute for just about everything. However, I didn’t realize that you could make an entire cookbook out of it! Even better, Vegan Junk Food is about all the yummy food we love to snack. With 225 yummy (and animal friendly recipes), there is definitely something for everyone in here! Vegans crave salt, sugar, and comfort food just like the rest of us. Who doesn’t love Chocolate Mint Cookie Layer Cake or Deep Dish Hawaiian Pizza or Baked Donut Holes? There are just so many great food to pick from!

It was great to see that the Vegan lifestyle isn’t just eating tofu and broccoli. I think Vegan Junk Food will open the eyes of many people to Vegan eating and how good it can be!

Betty Crocker Potato Buds Giveaway

This giveaway is now over. The winner is Pamela S. Congrats!

Whether you prefer your mashed potatoes topped with butter, sour cream or cheese, the Betty Crocker Potato Buds that you’ve come to know and love has a new and improved taste that is sure to please even your pickiest eaters. And ready in just five minutes, they’re perfect for busy weeknights and last minute dinner ideas!  I like real mashed potatoes just as much as the next person, but with two little ones (and a puppy), I just don’t have the time nor the patience to make them.

If you are a regular reader of my blog, you’ll remember a few of my recipes that use mashed potatoes: Cheeseburger Mashed Potato Bake, Italian Style Meatloaf, and Italian Sausage Mashed Potato Pie.  Betty Crocker Potato Buds would work perfect in all three of these recipes.  Betty Crocker has a few of their own recipes that this can be used in too including Beef Pot Pie with Potato Biscuit Crust and Italian Hamburger Deep Dish.

Did you know that Betty Crocker Potato Buds are gluten-free?  If you are looking for some gluten-free recipes, make sure you check out Potato-Crusted Salmon and Cheesy Broccoli-Potato Soup!
