Perfect for adding a bold kick to favorite foods or as a snack straight out of the jar, Farmer’s Garden by Vlasic pickles are simply delicious.

These five new varieties will be on store shelves nationwide:

  • Deli Style Halves – new flavor
  • Bread & Butter Chips – new flavor
  • Zesty Garlic Chips – a big fan-favorite in a new variety
  • Kosher Dill Halves
  • Kosher Dill Spears

They are great for adding a kick to your favorite foods or as a snack right out of the jar.  (Umm, I’m very guilty of that!).  Can I tell you how much I love these?  We got to try the dill spears and the bread and butter chips.  First of all, yummm!  Secondly, I just can’t get over how nice these jars of pickles look!  I could keep them out as a decoration (yes, they look that nice!).

Looks nice, taste great, what more could you want!  Make sure you check out Farmer’s Garden by Vlasic for your Labor Day barbecues!

Pretzel Crisps

Snack Factory’s Pretzel Crisps are the world’s first spreadable pretzel crackers.  They are flat baked pretzels made without any trans fats, saturated fats, or cholesterol.  They are also low fat, low calorie, OU Kosher certified.  With all that goodness, how do they taste?  They are awesome.  We were able to try out several flavors and they are all really good.  The Deli Style line is available in seven flavors:  original, everything, sesame, garlic parmesan, buffalo wing, jalapeno jack, and chipotle.  Right, now Bill’s favorite flavor is Buffalo Wing.  He does want me to let you all know that they are spicy, but not too spicy.  They are perfect for a family party.  I like the original flavor the best (yes, I am boring).  There is also a modern classic line that has four flavors:  classic, supreme, Tuscan Three Cheese, and Cinnamon Toast.  There is even special edition Pretzel Crisps:  White Chocolate & Peppermint and Dark Chocolate & Peppermint.

This year, Pretzel Crisps is proud to join the fight and help donate to Susan G. Komen for the Cure. For every specially marked 14 ounce Pretzel Crisps® bag sold from August through October 2011, Snack Factory will donate a portion of the proceeds, with a minimum of $100,000, to Komen.

Great snack, great cause.  What more could you ask for?

Good Seasons Salad Dressing & Recipe Mix

good seasonsMy husband absolutely loves Good Seasons Salad dressing.  The combination of fresh produce and the artfully crafted blend of herbs and spices found in Good Seasons Salad Dressing & Recipe Mix enhances summer salads, complement cool dips and dial up the flavor as a grill-enhancing marinade.  I love that on the back of the packaging they have several different ways to make the dressing.  You can make teriyaki, dijon, greek, raspberry, lemon dill, cilantro lime, or just regular Italian dressing.  One of our favorite recipes to use the dressing with is this Ham & Cheese pull aparts:

½ cup mayo
¼ cup Italian dressing (that you just made with you Good Seasons Salad Dressing packet)
1 loaf (16 oz) soft Italian bread or unsliced sandwich bread
6 pieces of cheese
1 pkg. (6 oz) Oscar Mayer deli style ham  (You can add as much or as little meat as you want.  You can even change what kind of meat too!)
Tomato slices

Preheat oven @ 350 degrees.

Mix mayo and dressing. Set aside.

Cut ends off bread to make 12-inch loaf. Slice bread evenly into 12 slices, being careful not to cut all the way through to the bottom of the loaf. Spread mixture between every other pair of bread slices. Fill with singles, ham, and tomato. Wrap sandwich in foil

Bake for 15 – 20 minutes.

Makes 6 servings.
