The unusual varieties of heirloom seeds still available today produce food that provide a mouthful of flavor unlike anything ever experienced from hybrid varieties. Heirloom Flavor features eighteen types of heirloom edibles and is enriched with beautiful full-color photographs, interesting stories, and fascinating history. Heirloom Flavor: Yesterday’s Best-Tasting Vegetables, Fruits, and Herbs for Today’s Cook includes recipes and cooking tips, how-to-grow tips, and how-to-select at Farmer’s Markets. This is a “must have” for foodies and cooks. The cookbook is a great resource. The book is a combination of heirloom specific recipes, concise growing tips, and heirloom history. The pictures are phenomenal and I even learned a thing or two from this book!

Ionic Fridge Air Purifier Giveaway

I never realized that my refrigerator was stinky until it wasn’t. True story.  :)

I recently was given the opportunity to try out the Ionic Fridge Air Purifier.  The first thing that I noticed from using it was the my fridge smelled fresh.  I can say that this definitely eliminates food odors.  It also kills bacteria, reduces food spoilage, and prevents mildew.  It also sterilizes your fridge once every hour.  Best of all, there are no replacement filters and nothing to clean.  The air purifier uses 2 AA batteries that require replacement approximately every 90 days.  It is also completely silent.

Since my family loves our so much, I have arranged for one lucky reader to get one of their own!  Here’s what you need to do:

Tell me why you need this for your fridge!
