Betty Crocker Potato Buds Giveaway

This giveaway is now over. The winner is Pamela S. Congrats!

Whether you prefer your mashed potatoes topped with butter, sour cream or cheese, the Betty Crocker Potato Buds that you’ve come to know and love has a new and improved taste that is sure to please even your pickiest eaters. And ready in just five minutes, they’re perfect for busy weeknights and last minute dinner ideas!  I like real mashed potatoes just as much as the next person, but with two little ones (and a puppy), I just don’t have the time nor the patience to make them.

If you are a regular reader of my blog, you’ll remember a few of my recipes that use mashed potatoes: Cheeseburger Mashed Potato Bake, Italian Style Meatloaf, and Italian Sausage Mashed Potato Pie.  Betty Crocker Potato Buds would work perfect in all three of these recipes.  Betty Crocker has a few of their own recipes that this can be used in too including Beef Pot Pie with Potato Biscuit Crust and Italian Hamburger Deep Dish.

Did you know that Betty Crocker Potato Buds are gluten-free?  If you are looking for some gluten-free recipes, make sure you check out Potato-Crusted Salmon and Cheesy Broccoli-Potato Soup!

Since my family has enjoyed this so much, I’ve arrange for one lucky reader to get a Betty Crocker Potato Buds prize pack.  The prize pack  includes a box of Betty Crocker Potato Buds, a serving bowl, a trivet and a serving spoon.  Who couldn’t use that?  For those who don’t win, I have a 55 cent off coupon you can download, so you can try these yourself!  Here’s what you need to enter:

Tell me what you would use the Betty Crocker Potato Buds for?  A side dish?  Do you have a favorite recipe that calls for mashed potatoes?  Did you find something on the Betty Crocker website that you want to try these with?

John Morrell Allergen-Free Meats

Having some of my own food allergies, I understand how important it is to be able to find products that your kids (and you) can eat.  While meat products don’t necessarily trigger an alarm to look for possible allergen risks in the ingredients, many in fact do contain a hazard.  John Morrell, maker of great tasting hotdogs, smoked sausages, and bologna, now offers these products 100% “worry-free”. They are free from allergens of milk, nuts, egg, soy, wheat, gluten, and MSG!   They even went a step further by making their hot dogs, smoked sausages and bologna in a completely allergen-free facility.

How is the taste?  As good as ever!  You can’t tell they took all of that out!  Best of all, these are still low priced.  They aren’t socking it to the families that do have to watch every morsel of food their kids eat.  If this sounds like something you want to try, definitely check out their Facebook page.  It features regular coupons, contests, expert advice, recipes and nutritional information. The Facebook page also will be offering daily “Free” and “$1 Off” coupons!

I wrote this review while participating in a blog campaign by Mom Central on behalf of John Morrell and received a free coupon for John Morrell products to facilitate my candid review. Mom Central also sent me a gift card to thank me for taking the time to participate

EnviroKidz Bars Giveaway!

Would you like a healthy snack for your children?  Would you like a healthy snack for yourself?  If so, the EnviroKidz organic crispy bars is what you are looking for. EnviroKidz Crispy Rice Bars comes in two new flavors – Lemur Peanut Choco Drizzle (chunky peanut butter and peanuts with chocolate drizzle) and Penguin Fruity Burst (‘marshmallowy’ taste with colourful bits of fun fruity bursts). These low fat bars are made from whole brown rice.  They are low in sugar and sodium.  They have no trans fats and are a great gluten free option.  Now, the Fruity Burst bars were a tad sweet for me.  However, Madison (my 4 year old) inhaled them.  Now, the Peanut Choco Drizzle were saved for mommy.  I had quite the chocolate craving when we got these, so I ate those myself.  They were super good, took care of my chocolate craving, and were healthy.  I’d much rather give these to my kids than most of the snack foods that are out there.  I’d rather eat one of these instead of a candy bar.

Now, I would love for you to try these and have arranged for 2 lucky winners to get a box of each flavor of these bars.  Here what you can do to enter:

Each one of these things will give you one entry:
