Game Day Fan Fare Giveaway and a Pepperoni Roll-up Recipe Too!

As I wait for the Chicago Blackhawks game tonight, I am looking for some great recipes to make for this momentous Game 5. All of the games have been awesome so far, so this one shouldn’t disappoint. That being said, we have a summer full of sports events and that’s where the Gooseberry Patch Game Day Fan Fare is a lifesaver! Pepperoni Roll-up

Serves: 8
Ingredients
  • 8 oz tube refrigerated crescent rolls
  • 16 slices of pepperoni, quartered
  • 2 mozzarella cheese sticks, quartered
  • ¾ t Italian seasoning, divided
  • ¼ t garlic salt, divided
  • Garnish: pizza sauce, warmed
Instructions
  1. Separate crescent roll dough into 8 triangles.
  2. Place 8 quartered pepperoni pieces on each triangle
  3. Place a piece of string cheese on the long edge of each triangle and sprinkle with Italian seasoning.
  4. Starting with the long edge, roll up the dough.
  5. Sprinkle rolls with garlic salt and remaining Italian seasoning.
  6. Place seam side down, 2 inches apart, on a lightly greased baking sheet.
  7. Bake at 375 degrees for 10 - 12 minutes.
  8. Serve with warmed pizza sauce for dipping.

Gooseberry Patch literally has done it again.  There are so many great recipes in here to make every night.  The recipes are easy.  They are made with things you will easily find in your home.  If you can’t find a dinner recipe in here to make, there is something wrong!  I love that you can use these for lunch too!  LOL

Yummy Chicken Italiano

Serves: 6
Ingredients
  • 1 - 2 lbs. boneless skinless chicken breast cut into 1 inch cubes
  • ¼ c. water
  • .7 oz pkg Italian salad dressing mix
  • ½ cup onion, chopped
  • 1 clove garlic, chopped
  • 10¾ oz can fat free cream of chicken soup
  • ½ cup chicken broth
  • 8 oz pkg., reduced fat cream cheese, cubed
  • 16 oz pkg rotini pasta or wide egg noodles
Instructions
  1. Place chicken in slow cooker ; sprinkle with water and salad dressing mix. Cover and cook on low for 4 hours.
  2. Spray a large saucepan with non-stick vegetable spray; saute onion and garlic for one to 2 minutes. Add soup, broth, and cream cheese to saucepan. Stir until cream cheese is melted and mixture is smooth.
  3. Add soup mixture to slow cooker. Cover and cook on low for an additional hour.

  • cooked rice
Instructions
  1. Place Chicken in a slow cooker.

  3. Cover and cook on low for 4-5 hours.
  4. Serve over rice.
