Nature’s Valley Granola Thins Review and Giveaway

This giveaway is now over. The winner is Veronica Garett. Congrats!

I’m always on the lookout for a good yet tasty snack for both me and my kids. Nature’s Valley Granola Thins definitely fit that bill.  Granola Thins are 100 percent natural, individually packaged, and at 80 calories per square, a perfect pick-me-up you can feel good about eating.   They have two flavors — dark chocolate and peanut butter.

Both flavors have been a huge hit in our house.  My 3 year old constantly asks for these!  The chocolate ones take care of any chocolate craving I may have too!  These are a great snack for everyone.

Since we liked these so much, I’ve arranged for one lucky reader to get a Nature’s Valley Prize Pack that includes a nature-inspired mug, mouse pad, and desk calendar.  Here’s what you need to do:

Which flavor would you like to try?  Peanut Butter?  Dark Chocolate?

Nature’s Path Granola Bars Review and Giveaway

This giveaway is now over. The winner is Shannon. Congrats!

I know I’m not the only one who craves something sweet for a snack. However, when you are trying to eat a little more healthy there aren’t a lot of choices out there for you. That being said, I have found the product out there that definitely satisfies my sweet tooth.

Nature’s Path granola bars are a organic snack option that you have to try.  The granola bars are certified USDA organic and do not contain any artificial preservatives, additives, genetically modified organisms, or synthetic pesticides.  They have several flavors to satisfy any craving that you may have:

  • Mmmmaple Pecan – made with organic maple syrup, crunchy pecans, and icing
  • Berry Strawberry – a mix of organic strawberries and raspberries topped with creamy yogurt
  • Lotta Apricotta – dried apricots, roasted almonds, and real yogurt icing
  • Sunny Hemp – hempseed, flaxseed, and sunflowers seems with juicy raisins
  • Peanut Buddy – Peanut Butter and whole roasted peanuts
  • Peanut Choco – crunchy peanuts drizzles with dark chocolate
  • Chococonut – dark chocolate chips and a hint of sweet, buttery, nutty coconut
  • Pumpkin-n-Spice – Mineral rich roasted pumpkin seeds and Omega-3 rich flaxseeds with a dash of cinnamon

I normally am not a huge fan of granola.  That being said I loved the Peanut Choco Granola Bars.  I wouldn’t even share that kind with my kids.  My kids inhaled the rest.  All of our samples were eaten in one morning — that’s how much my family liked these.  I often send a granola bar for Madison’s snack at school, and I love that I am able to send her something healthy and good for her.

Since I know you have to be hungry by now, I’ve arranged for one lucky reader to receive a months supply of Nature’s Path Granola Bars!  Here’s what you need to do (please leave each thing as a separate comment):

Head over to the Nature’s Path site and tell me which flavor you think you’d like to try. (I recommend the Peanut Choco myself but they are all good).

These will give you additional entries:

Nature’s Path Cereals

Did you know that a study in the European Journal of Clinical Nutrition unveiled that men and women who eat at least one serving of whole grains each day weigh less and have slimmer waistlines?  In this day and age, I know that this is something we all strive for.  Nature’s Path cereals definitely fit this bill since they are loaded with whole grains, as well as fiber.  Their cereals include:

  • Nature’s Path Optimum Slim – 18g whole grains, 9g fiber
  • FlaxPlus Pumpkin Raisin Crunch – 19g whole grains, 9g fiber
  • FlaxPlus Red Berry Crunch – 22g whole grains, 5g fiber
  • Pumpkin FlaxPlus Granola – 31g whole grains, 5g fiber
  • Sunflower AgavePlus Granola – 33g whole grains, 4g fiber

All Nature’s Path products are certified organic, which means they contain nothing artificial and no chemical pesticides or herbicides are used.  I’ll be honest, my kids like the sugary cereals (who doesn’t?), but my kids eat this cereal too without me having to make them.  They often ask for the FlaxPlus Red Berry Crunch (which happens to be an excellent source of Omega-3).  It is made with organic flax seeds, strawberries, raspberries, and oats.  The FlaxPlus Granola is great for any of the granola lovers out there.  It has a little kick to it but is definitely good.  The Nature’s Path Optimum Slim cereal happens to be my favorite.  What surprised me most about it was that it is sweet.  They sweetened this cereal with molasses which for me makes it extra yummy.

If you are looking for a great alternative to the sugary cereals you find in your local grocery store, I highly recommend checking out the Nature’s Path products.  There is definitely something here for everyone.
