Activia Greek

I love yogurt. I believe most people like yogurt in some form or flavor. The Dannon Company has now combined my two favorite kinds of yogurt; Greek yogurt and Activia! I love the thick, rich flavor of Greek yogurt and the digestive benefits of Activia. The nice part of Greek Activia is that it comes in a variety of flavors so there is bound to be a flavor for everyone! I have tried the Orchard Peach, the Raspberry, and the Vanilla. The other flavors include Garden Blueberry, Strawberry Patch, and Tropical Fruit.

I have to say that the Raspberry Greek Activia is amazing. As amazing as this yogurt tastes, the health benefits are even better!! Dannon Activia Greek yogurt has 0g of fat, 12g of protein and only 130 calories per container (each container is 5.3oz which is a nice serving size!). As for the digestive benefits, Activia Greek has the probiotic culture Bifidus Regularis, which helps regulate your digestive system. I am someone who has digestive issues and I love the fact I get a great tasting yogurt and a food that will help, not hinder, my stomach problems!! So if you love yogurt, especially Greek yogurt, and want a delicious and nutritious yogurt, try Dannon Activia Greek yogurt-it’s amazing!

I don’t think I know anyone that doesn’t like yogurt. By itself, yogurt can be a healthy snack, the start to a good morning as breakfast, or as the beginning of an awesome low fat smoothie. There are different, I mean tons of different, varieties out there and now to add to it all there is an even healthier option: Greek yogurt! Who knew yogurt could be healthier, right??   Yoplait is my favorite brand of yogurt and they have added Greek yogurt to their amazing selection of yogurt. It comes in a lot of different flavors and fruits to satisfy every taste bud.   One of my favorite parts of this delicious yogurt is that it is low in calories! These cute little cups have only 100 calories per serving! Greek yogurt, for those of you who have yet to try this type of yogurt, is a thicker consistency but really fills you up! My favorite is the Yoplait Greek 100 in strawberry. I have it as a snack after a workout, or as my breakfast with some granola on top, but I have also used it in baking! Not only is this yogurt delicious and nutritious, it is also
versatile! With only 100 calories, 0g of fat, and 10g of protein per serving, who wouldn’t love Yoplait Greek yogurt?!?

Mini Peach and Blueberry Cobbler
  • Cobbler:
  • Nonstick cooking spray
  • 3 cups frozen sliced peaches, thawed and coarsely chopped
  • 1 cup frozen blueberries, thawed
  • ½ cup small tapioca pearls
  • Juice and finely grated zest of 1 lemon
  • 2 tablespoons agave nectar
  • ½ teaspoon ground ginger
  • ¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • Topping:
  • ½ cup rolled oats (not instant)
  • ¼ cup almond flour
  • 2 tablespoons coarsely ground flaxseed
  • ¼ cup frozen apple juice concentrate, thawed
  • 2 tablespoons light butter, such as Land O’Lakes, melted
  • For Serving:
  • ¾ cup plain nonfat Greek yogurt
  • 1 whole vanilla bean, split and scraped
  • 1 teaspoon agave nectar
  1. Preheat the oven to 350?F. Spray four (6-ounce) ramekin dishes with cooking spray. Set aside.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the peaches, blueberries, tapioca, lemon juice and zest, agave nectar, ginger, cinnamon, and salt. Using a rubber spatula, toss the peach mixture together until all of the ingredients are evenly distributed. Set aside.
  3. To make the topping, in a separate bowl combine the oats, flour, and flaxseed. Pour in the apple juice and melted butter and mix with a fork to form a coarse meal.
  4. Divide the fruit mixture among the prepared ramekins, filling to just below the rim. Gently pat the topping over the fruit to cover completely. Put the ramekins on a rimmed baking pan. Bake until the juices bubble up and the crust is golden brown, 15 to 17 minutes.
  5. To make the yogurt topping for serving, in a small bowl combine the yogurt, vanilla bean, and agave nectar. Mix with a spoon until well blended.
  6. Serve the mini-cobblers in the ramekins topped with a dollop of vanilla yogurt.
