Did you know that Gorton’s has been around over 160 years? I know most of you may just know them from the commercials. I know I can’t help but sing the jingle in my head when I think of Gorton’s. Gorton’s sells frozen seafood products through better independent and chain grocery stores across the United States and Canada. I was able to find their products at my local Jewel Store for this review.

Now, we have always been a Gorton’s fan. I’m a huge fan of their skillet shrimp.

Nothing is better than a few of these shrimp and some cocktail sauce except maybe some of their Crispy Battered Fish Fillets!

Now, I personally like my fish fillet on a bun. However, Bill and Will chose to eat these cut up on their plates! It makes an awesome dinner!

Miracle-Gro and America’s Test Kitchen Cook Up Fresh Ideas from Your Garden

With the prices of everything of everything going up it seems like every week, it just seems a no brainer to grow your own food.  Also, freshly grown fruit and vegetables just taste better.  Grocery stores ship things in.  Those fruits and vegetables are picked way earlier than they should be.  My mom is even growing her own tomatoes this year, so she can make BLTs whenever she wants!

Do you have a garden this year? What do you have planted? Do you eat what you grow?

Angie’s Kettle Corn

I love popcorn.  When I found out Angie’s Kettle Corn, was coming to Chicago, I was super excited.

Angie’s only uses 4 ingredients in their popcorn. Yes, only 4. They use popcorn, corn oil, cane sugar, and sea salt. Since they use only these four ingredients, there are no trans-fats, no artificial flavors, no preservatives, and no allergens. It is also gluten free and Kosher certified. Honestly, this popcorn is nothing like any other popcorn you’ve had. It’s sweet yet salty. I don’t know how they do it.  We easily finished off a bag here in one night!  (Let me add, the whole family was eating it.  However, I probably could finish off the bag myself, because it’s that good!)

You can find Angie’s Kettle Corn at SuperValu owned grocery stores, CostCo, Hy-Vee, Lunds/Byerlys, Kowalski’s, SuperTarget, Whole Foods, and online.  Go get some — it’ll be the best popcorn you’ve ever had!
