Jamie’s Kitchen Giveaway

Jamie’s Kitchen started as a television show. It began as an experiment with 15 unemployed, enthusiastic kids, and he trained them to be chefs. He also helped them open a restaurant, Fifteen, that has become the hottest dining spot in London. When England’s Channel 4 launched a tie-in series, more than four million people tuned in. The show premiers this fall in the U.S.

Jamie’s Kitchen-the book-is a cooking course. Both new and experienced cooks will learn a thing or two with this cookbook. Some of the cooking techniques you will learn about are making salads, cooking without heat, poaching and boiling, steaming, stewing and braising, roasting, grilling, and baking. How many cookbooks out there tell you these things? There are also a ton of one-of-a-kind, delicious recipes, such as prosciutto and pecorino, citrus-seared tuna with crispy noodles, herbs, and chili; smoked haddock risotto; and baked chocolate pudding. Jamie includes tips on how to take recipes in new directions and how to be an inspired grocery shopper-spotting what’s good, what’s in season, and what’s a good value. The only thing this book is missing is how to find great coupons for this food.

I personally love Jamie Oliver. This cookbook is great not only as a cookbook but as a coffee book table too. The pictures in here are phenomenal. You will get hungry just flipping through here. The directions are easy to follow, and the recipes in here are great. They aren’t the run of the mill things you find in most cookbooks. I do love that there isn’t other cookbook out there like this one!

Since I loved Jamie’s Kitchen, I have arranged for one lucky reader to win a copy. Here’s what you need to do:

Evamor Giveaway!

Alkaline water is said to have numerous antioxidants, help with acne, hydrate skin, lubricate joints and muscles to help prevent injuries – and more.  For me, however, I just want good tasting water.  One my main issues with bottled water is that it tastes different (and I can’t explain how but it just does to me).  Evamor water has no taste to me.  It just tastes good.  Clean.

The cool thing is that Evamor differentiates itself by its role in a recent study by Dr. Jamie Koufman proving it can eliminate heartburn.  This is huge since over 40% of Americans struggle with acid reflux!  In laboratory tests, Evamor inactivated or destroyed human pepsin, a stomach enzyme that when activated by acid causes painful burning symptoms.   I didn’t get a chance to test this out in my own house, because I drank all the water before Bill could try any!

Since I am such a fan of Evamor, I have arranged for one lucky reader to win a case of Evamor Water and the cookbook by the doctor who completed the above study, “Dropping Acid – The Reflux Diet Cookbook & Cure.”  Here’s what you need to do:

Kitchenability 101: The College Student’s Guide to Easy, Healthy, and Delicious Food Giveaway

Kitchenability 101: The College Student’s Guide to Easy, Healthy, and Delicious food features A+ recipes anyone can make anywhere.

In this book, Nisa provides the confidence and motivation for college students to expand their abilities, so they can cook for themselves and their friends. It offers shopping plans, supply lists, budgeting, skills and recipes for cooking in college spaces – including dorm rooms, apartments and houses. What I love about this cookbook is that it is great for students, but also good for the rest of us. These recipes use ingredients you will find in your home. The directions for the recipes are fairly simple, yet you can find some great things to make like chili burritos (one of Bill’s favorite), peanut butter pie, twister sugar sticks, etc. There is just so much yummy goodness in here!

Since I liked this cookbook, I have arranged for one lucky reader to get a copy of their own. Here’s what you need to do:
