Kick Off 2013 with Fresh Meals from Schwan’s

With the excitement of a new year upon us, there’s no time like now to feed your family some fresh, delicious foods to start out 2013.

Make it easy to stick to your New Year’s Resolutions with a range of comforting and healthy meals such as the Unbreaded Chicken Breast Filets and Mini Beef Pot Roast and sizzling Chicken Marinara & Tortellini and Southwest Fiesta skillet meals. To accompany the meal, add fresh veggies such as Broccoli Florets or a Mediterranean Vegetable Blend, and finish off with guilt-free LiveSmart Ice Cream Sandwiches or Wild Berry Frozen Yogurt.

I know, I know – how do these taste?  Awesome!  We got to try the Mini Beef Pot Roast and the Mediterranean Vegetable Blend.  You would never guess that this came from your freezer.  It was that good!  I also loved how quick and easy it was to make!  Dinner in less than 30 minutes in my house is heaven sent!

Schwan’s was a brand that wasn’t on my radar till now.  However, now that we’ve tried it, I’ll be purchasing more!  It is that good!

HoneyBaked

I have driven past HoneyBaked so many times. I just assumed that they just had ham. I don’t make ham a lot and I don’t normally have to make too many big dinners so they never really crossed my radar. However, I will be the first to admit how wrong I was.

Did you know that HoneyBaked caters? Did you know you can walk into HoneyBaked and eat lunch? Did you know that you can stop in there and get an easy and affordable meal for your family for dinner tonight? Me either! That’s one of the many things I learned the evening last week I went and got to check out HoneyBaked.

One of the many things I learned that night was that they glaze the hams right in the store. We actually got to watch them do it. (It was pretty cool.) They use a gluten free glaze and only glaze the amount of hams they will need for the day (to keep the ham fresh). Now, you can walk in and request exactly what you want too. (Though, they do a darn good job with it!).

What other products does HoneyBaked carry? They have port, beef, turkey roasts, ribs, shredded beef, and pork in barbecue sauce for sandwiches, deli sides, whole turkeys, desserts, turkey breasts, thin sliced honey bacon, and more.  I got to try a lot of it:

It was so good. Good just doesn’t describe how good it was though. It tasted homemade. The cinnamon apples literally melted in your mouth. I could easily pick this up for a holiday and pass it off that I made it at home (though it was way better than anything I could have made at home!). Little things like fresh bread delivered daily and fresh produce delivered three times a week make a difference. It makes their food all that much better than everyone else out there!

If you like their food, they have a great loyalty program too. If you buy 5 dinners, you get the 6th one for 50% off! The lunch box card is buy five lunches and get the 6th one free.

Want to try HoneyBaked now that I’ve made you hungry? You can! Here is a coupon for $10 off, so you can enjoy HoneyBaked for dinner tonight!

FunBites

FunBites is the first state of the art kitchen tool that instantly cuts food into fun-shaped bites. It’s made of high- performance material designed for strength, sharpness and durability to create bite-sized meals in less than 10 seconds. This goes beyond bread and sandwich cutters! It’s great for pancakes, burgers, fish ,deli, quesadilla, grilled cheese, pizza and more.

There are 3 easy steps to use these. First, place it on your food. Next, rock it firmly back & forth. Lastly, pop out bite-sized pieces! Yes, it is really that easy. Best of all, FunBites is BPA free, works on any surface, and is top shelf dishwasher safe.

Madison loves the heart cutter while Will likes the square cutter. I love that this is so easy to use that Madison (my seven year old) is able to use this without any help from me. She loved that she could make her snacks and sandwiches into hearts. I loved that it made it fun for her to eat.

If you have a picky eater or one who just wants to have “fun” food, I definitely recommend FunBites. My kids love them, so I have arranged for one lucky reader to win one of their own! Here’s what you need to do:…continue reading
