Back to School with Simply Potatoes!

Back to school is right upon us. My kids start next week! It won’t be long until fall is upon us.

With fall and Back To School upon us, now is the time to try out Simply Potatoes! Why do I love Simply Potatoes? First, I love that I don’t have to slice, dice, and peel potatoes! I love just having to open the bag. This is especially important on school nights when you are running around with the 47 activities your kids are involved in. Quick and easy is what it is all about! I also hate making mashed potatoes from scratch. It’s just so time consuming! I love how Simply Potatoes have simplified that too! You can also use many of their products in great family recipes. Simply Potatoes have a ton of those on the site like the Potato Taco Casserole!

Since my family loves Simply Potatoes so much, I have arranged for one lucky reader to win a coupon, so you can try Simply Pototoes for yourself! Here’s what you need to do:

Dish Squeegee

When you are loading your dishwasher, how do you get the food off your plates first? If you are like me, you run water over it without even realizing how much water your wasting! There has to be a ready way, and there is.

The Dish Squeegee makes doing dishes simple, faster, and more eco friendly. Experts estimate pre-rinsing dishes prior to putting them in the dishwasher can waste up to 6500 gallons of water a year! I know that number makes me sick! Not rinsing pots, bowls, and plates prior to putting them in the dishwasher can also waste water when dishes emerge unclean. Instead of rinsing everything with water, use the Dish Squeegee instead!

The Dish Squeegee’s three sided shape make it well suited for all size pots, pans, dishes, cups, and jars. The Dish Squeegee is made of soft and pliable silicone that won’t scratch fine cookware or Teflon surfaces and may also be used to efficiently clear off cutting boards and counter tops. The Dish Squeegee is dishwasher safe and won’t absorb germs or bacteria.

We’ve used it here, and it works great! I’ll be honest, I never realized the amount of water we were wasting! It is making small little chances like using the Dish Squeegee that will make this world a better place for our kids!

Herman T’s Review and Giveaway!

This giveaway is now over. The winner is Janet F. Congrats!

Are you a fan of BBQ sauce? If so, Herman T’s is something you have to try!

Herman’s T’s BBQ sauce was created by Herman T Jones back in the 1950’s and his grandson has recreated the original recipe.  However, this isn’t like the BBQ you normally are use to.  It is a mix and you add water and ketchup to it!  The reason I love this?  You can stick to their recipe or you can keep adding ketchup till you get it to taste right to you!  It also allows me to say that I made it from scratch :) because well, I kind of did.  You are also able to make whatever serving size you need.  The original sauce is quite good and the spicy sauce has a little kick to it.  I think the spicy would work great on a pulled beef sandwich (I’m getting hungry just thinking about it!).

Since I liked the BBQ sauce, I’ve arranged for one lucky reader to also try Herman T’s BBQ sauce.  The winner will get a package of the original and a package of the spicy sauce to try. Here’s what you need to do:
