Constructive Eating

Getting Will to eat can be like pulling teeth at times. That being said he likes his little silverware, so we let him to use it. That is why I knew he would love Constructive Eating Silverware.

As you can see, Constructive Eating Silverware consists of a bulldozer pusher, a forklift fork, and a front loader spoon. It makes eating fun for the kids. Two points that I love are that these are dishwasher safe and are made in the United States. Here’s what Will thinks of them:

Will wants to use this silverware every. single. day. That is what a huge hit these are. When he sets the table, he looks for his Constructive Eating silverware at every meal. I definitely will have to get a few more sets for him. ūüôā You can also get a plate and placemat to match! (If you have a girl, they also have a fairy line!).

I can only recommend Constructive Eating Silverware. Will adores it, and I love how it has help up to constant washing. This definitely makes my must get list!

GoPicnic

I am always on the lookout for great snacks for my kids (and me too for that matter). ¬†GoPicnic fits the bill for everyone in my family! ¬†That box that you see has everything you need for a ready to eat meal no matter where you are — in the car, on a plane, or even at home! ¬†No refrigeration or prep is required, and everything you need (including silverware) is in the box! ¬†These are compact enough to slip into your purse, laptop bag, or whatever you are carrying at the time. ¬†They contain no trans fats, no high fructose corn syrup, no added MSG, no artificial flavors or colors. ¬†Each meal has a balance of protein, fruit, and fiber and even includes dessert (and is under 500 calories!). ¬†There are even several varieties that are gluten free! ¬†There is definitely a meal for everyone; they have everything from Tuna + Crackers to Turkey Pepperoni + Cheese to Salami + Crackers.

We took some of these on a car trip to Green Bay, and my kids loved them! ¬†They loved the silverware in the boxes, they loved that all their food was in there, and the fruit snacks always go over well. ¬†They were able to take care of their snack on their own (Will needed a little help, but Madison did alright all by herself with this). ¬†These were a hit at my house. ¬†(Just thought of another great use — lunch at camp this summer! ¬†Way better than the normal brown bag lunch I normally send!)

GoPicnic is a great snack and/or meal for anytime.  I definitely recommend checking them out!

Smarty Had A Party Review and Giveaway!

This giveaway is now over. The winner is Emma Peel. Congrats!

Sponsored by Tomoson.comI like to make things easy for myself.  Every other year we do Christmas Eve at my house, and I hate all the dishes that it brings (especially when we are talking 11 adults and 4 kids).  Granted, we have a dishwasher, but it still stinks.  After a dinner with everybody, we end up having to run at least 2 loads in the dishwasher to get everything clean.

That is where Smarty Had A Party comes in. ¬†First of all, who doesn’t love that name? ¬†Smarty Had A Party is the premier online retailer of elegant disposable dinnerware, offering an attractive alternative for classy parties, weddings, holidays and elegant events, at a substantial cost-savings over rentals. Although these dishes are sturdy and elegant enough to be used for an important event, they can be conveniently disposed of, and all at reasonable price. They even offer free ground shipping on all orders over $275.00!

We recently tried these out. ¬†At first look, they look real. ¬†It isn’t until you sit down and use them that you realize that it is plastic. ¬†They definitely dress up your dinner, and this is a product I’ll be using again for family holidays. ¬†Everybody was impressed with them, and it made cleanup a breeze.

Since we liked these so much, I’ve arranged for one lucky reader to get their own Smarty Had A Party prize pack! ¬†They prize pack consists of:

10.25″ Smarty Ivory and Chocolate Dinner Plates
Reflections Long Dinner Forks
Reflections Grand Heavy Knives
Reflections Spoons
Chocolate Brown Dinner Napkins

Here’s what you need to do:
