Cheerios and the USO Work Together Giveaway!

Now through the end of the month specially-marked boxes of Cheerios cereal will feature Cheer postcards on the front of the box. You can cut out the postcard from the Cheerios logo, write a message of thanks on the back, add a stamp and mail the pre-addressed card to the USO. The USO will deliver the Cheer card to military families across the country.  This is something we have done with my kids.  It’s a great way to include them such a great cause.

For each postcard received through November 2012, Cheerios will also make a $1 donation to the USO to help fund programs that support military families.  To kick off the campaign, Cheerios has already donated $150,000 to the USO and will donate up to an additional $100,000 based upon the number of postcards received from specially marked boxes now through November 30th, 2012.

Sending a “Cheer” postcard is a simple way to say thanks and lift the spirits of our country’s military families. So, take a moment out of your day to spread some Cheer and send a message of thanks!  To start you off, I have arranged for one of my lucky readers to get Cheerios/USO Prize Pack. The prize pack contains 1 Cheerios cereal bowl, 1 Cheerios cereal spoon, 1 cereal dispenser, and 1 “Cheer” box of Cheerios! Here is what you need to do:

Healthy Steps Serving Set

The keys to eating right are easy; fill half of your plate with fruits, vegetables or salad and control those portions on the other half of the plate. If you serve too much food, you eat too much food. The Healthy Steps Portion Control Serving Set does all the work for you. Serve the perfect portion sizes of protein, vegetable and starch right from the stove.

The Healthy Steps Portion Control Serving Set stylish appearance is perfect for serving guests and family alike. Since portion sizes are tucked away on the heads of the tools, no one will know you are measuring! The Serving Set Contains: 1 slotted spoon for vegetables, 1 solid spoon for starches such as potatoes or rice, and 1 spatula for protein. For vegetables and starches, fill the spoon but do not heap. For proteins, use the spatula head as a guide for the proper portion size. Serve proteins in portions equal to the size of a deck of cards. These are also heat resistant to 400o F / 204o C. and also are dishwasher safe.

I love this serving set. With restaurant serving size distorting what a true “serving size” is, this takes the guesswork out of serving yourself and your family. Portion control is the best way to manage and maintain a healthy weight, and you want to make it as easy as possible. I also love that nobody would even guess this set is telling you the serving size!

The Healthy Steps Serving Set is super easy to use and love how easy it is to now tell what a serving size really is!
