Taste of Home Best Loved Recipes

Taste of Home is putting out an even more exciting and comprehensive cookbook, Taste of Home Best Loved Recipes. This is possibly the last cookbook you’ll need for a while because it has over 1,400 recipes in it! This hard-bound collection commemorates 20 years of the best submitted recipes. Each recipe has a very personal story of what it has meant to those who submitted it and their families. You’ll find everything from Saturday night appetizers to weeknight dinners to secret family recipes to potluck favorites. Chapters also include some of the most cherished magazine features including: Mom Made it Best, Our Favorite Contributor’s Meals, Mealtime Express, Cooking for One or Two, Grand Prize Winners, and more. Each recipe has been evaluated and selected by the Taste of Home test kitchen as the best of the best and can be recreated in your kitchen with readily accessible ingredients. Plus, there is practical, proven tips, storage charts, how-to photo’s, and at-a-glance prep and cook times.

This is the biggest cookbook I own. It is also one of my favorite ones too! The pictures in here are mouthwatering (I recommend NOT looking at this cookbook if you are hungry!). If you can’t find something in here to make, there is something wrong with you! The ingredients are easy to find, and the directions are easy to follow (which is why I am a fan of Taste Of Home). One of my favorite recipes in here is the “Low Country Grill”. You can make your entire meal on the grill with that recipe! My husband like the Firecracker Burgers and the Jalapeno Popper Burgers (can you see a theme here?).

If you can only have one cookbook in your kitchen, Taste of Home Best Loved Recipes is the one you want. If you order it before September 13, you can get it on the Taste Of Home website. You’ll get an exclusive Taste of Home Baking Guide Free and free shipping. After, September 13, all of your favorite retailers should carry Taste of Home Best Loved Recipes.

Miracle-Gro and America’s Test Kitchen Cook Up Fresh Ideas from Your Garden

With the prices of everything of everything going up it seems like every week, it just seems a no brainer to grow your own food.  Also, freshly grown fruit and vegetables just taste better.  Grocery stores ship things in.  Those fruits and vegetables are picked way earlier than they should be.  My mom is even growing her own tomatoes this year, so she can make BLTs whenever she wants!

Do you have a garden this year? What do you have planted? Do you eat what you grow?
