Safeway

When Safeway asked if they could send me a gift card to tell you about some of the cool things they have to offer their customers, I, of course, said sure! Here in Chicago Safeway stores are called Dominick’s. Dominick’s is a store I like to grocery shop just due to the great prices they have.  What I didn’t know was the great content they have on their site!

Madison’s birthday is 2 weeks after Christmas.  It’s hard to mix it up when you are trying to feed people for two holidays and mix it up a bit.  Plus, I always have a ton of leftovers, because I still haven’t figured out how to cook for a big family!  When you normally cook for 4 people and then have to cook for almost 20, it’s a change.  LOL  That being said, they have a great recipe list for leftovers!  Have no fear, you won’t have to throw away that left over turkey.  Instead, you may be sad that there isn’t enough left to try all of these leftover recipes!  They have things like Turkey BLTs (yummmm) and Turkey Mashed Potato and Jack Cheese Casserole.  I’ll be honest, I can’t wait to make my Christmas turkey just so I can try these!

So what did I pick up with my gift card (well, and some extra money of my own)?  I got a turkey, a ham, some potatoes, some green beans, some peas, and my favorite, brown and serve rolls!   With Safeway’s budget-conscious recipes, weekly specials and email savings they’ve got you covered on everything you need!
