Crystal Light Drinks

If you read my personal blog, you will know that I am one of those crazy Black Friday shoppers. I was out this year on Friday in weather I don’t even want to admit too. I think with the windchill up in Green Bay (we were visiting my family), it was a whopping -5 degrees. I wish I was kidding. Needless to say, that cold really chills you to the bone. There is nothing better than a warm drink to warm you up.

Did you know that you can make some very awesome tasting warm drinks using Crystal Light? I didn’t either until recently! Here are a few recipes that are quick, easy, and taste great.

If you are in the mood for hot spiced tea:

1 packet Crystal Light Natural Lemon Flavored Iced Tea Mix
1 packet Crystal Light Lemonade Flavored Drink Mix
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp ground cloves

Mix all of the ingredients together. Stir in 1 qt boiling water into 1 tbsp tea mix in a pitcher.

Serve with lemon slices or cinnamon sticks.

For Mulled Peach Tea Punch:

1 packet Crystal Light Peach Flavored Iced Tea Mix
5 whole cloves
1 cinnamon stick
6 cups boiling water
2 cups apple juice

Place drink mix and spices into a pitcher. Add in boiling water and stir until drink mix is dissolved. Add juice and let stand for 10 minutes.

Remove spices and discard. Serve warm.

These are two really easy great drinks to make this winter season. Are there any drinks you like to make to keep warm?
